Robert Thomsen appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Robert Thomsen, who is currently the COO, Chief Operational Officer responsible for operations and HR at Arp-Hansen Hotel Group, is appointed as Deputy CEO effective today.

Robert has been employed at Arp-Hansen Hotel Group since 2000 and has held various roles in operations, including Front Office Manager and Hotel Manager. In 2009, he was appointed as the hotel director, first at Hotel Opera, then at Imperial Hotel and Grand Hotel. Since 2018, Robert has served as the COO for the entire company and has also pursued an MBA at CBS during this time.

Robert will continue to have overall responsibility for the company's operations, HR, procurement, and technical department, and will be in charge of the company's ESG initiatives. Robert will act as a deputy for the undersigned when necessary.

Robert is a key member of the company's executive management, and I look forward to continuing our close collaboration with Robert and the rest of the executive team, including Birgitte Krarup Sonne-Schmidt, who has been the CFO responsible for finance and IT since 2019, and Casper Puggaard, who will assume the role of CCO/Executive Director responsible for the commercial departments on November 1, 2023.

All three executive directors - Deputy CEO, CFO, and CCO - are on an equal footing and will continue to report directly to the undersigned. I would like to congratulate Robert on his appointment and look forward to our continued collaboration.
