City shopping at Easter 2024

Copenhagen is an absolute wonderland for shopaholics. Here, you will find plenty of shops and cosy districts that offer wonderful shopping options. So why not combine the Easter holidays in the city with some shopping?

Shop vintage in “Pisserenden”

Considering a trip to Copenhagen city and the shopping street ‘Strøget’? If so, do not miss out to visit ‘Kattesundet’ and continue into the district around Larsbjørnsstræde. The district is popularly called ‘Pisserenden’ and has a lot of wonderful shops despite the less flattering name. For those with a passion for recycling and vintage, there are many good options to track down some brilliant discoveries. Some of the shops have existed for many years and has a wide assortment of clothes, bags and jewelry from back in the days.

Combine shopping in Copenhagen with a small meal or a good cup of coffee from one of the many coffee shops. The district is worth seeing – even just for a short while to experience the special atmosphere.

An authentic vibe you will not meet everywhere in the capital.

Copenhagen shopping at Nørrebro

It is not only ‘downtown’ that contains lovely areas when it comes to this year of holiday shopping during Easter holidays 2024. Move onto the ‘other side’ of the lakes and discover the many unique shops. Look for Ravnsborggade district, Blågårdsgade district and the area around Elmegade in Nørrebro if you like small speciality shops. At Nørrebrogade, you will find well-known shops like Vero Moda, Moss Copenhagen and SportMaster.

There is something for everyone, and Nørrebro is a great place for shopping in Copenhagen.

Queen Louise’s Bridge is also worth a visit. The sidewalk is wide, and if the sun is shining, you can definitely meet the people of Copenhagen in the much needed spring. In the summertime, the old bridge is surrounded by young and old people, students and tourists.

Shopping centres in Copenhagen

Copenhagen offers a lot of good shopping opportunities even for rainy and windy days. While, the Easter days might not bring sunny weather, there are several shopping centres to visit. Just like Fisketorvet, Field’s is a mecca of shops. The teenagers in the family will surely like a place with shops aligned side by side with many well-known high street brands.

Transportation to and from Copenhagen’s many shopping centres is very easy. Both Frederiksberg Centre and Field’s are placed near the subway. If you look for a more exclusive shopping experience and want to get away from the street atmosphere of ‘Strøget’, Købmagergade and downtown, you can visit the popular shopping centres ‘Magasin’ and ‘Illum’, which offer a wide range of shopping opportunities.

Regardless of your shopping preferences, ask the Copenhageners for advice on the street. They often know the best shopping areas in Copenhagen and how to get there.
