Arp-Hansen Hotel Group sets new standards for stylish accommodation: Next House Copenhagen.

Arp-Hansen Hotel Group, the largest hotel chain in Copenhagen with more than 4,350 rooms and 100 conference rooms distributed among 12 hotels and one hostel at the best addresses, is again setting new standards for accommodation in Copenhagen. Even more young people and hip globetrotters of all ages will now have the opportunity to live cheaply, centrally and enjoy the fun at one of the city’s hippest new locations.

Last year, the hotel group acquired Falck A/S’ (Danish rescue service) former headquarters on Bernstorffsgade – just a stone’s throw from Copenhagen Central Station, Tivoli Gardens and the new harbour front. The hostel’s closest neighbour is the group’s newest Wakeup hotel.

Construction work is already under way to convert the property, and in summer 2021 we expect to open the Group’s second hostel – Next House Copenhagen. Our ambition is to create yet another of Copenhagen’s most luxurious hostels, with a raw atmosphere of exceptional format in a unique and central location with first-class public areas.

As a worthy counterpart to the New York-inspired Steel House Copenhagen, which the chain opened successfully in 2017 next to Vesterport Station, Next House Copenhagen will also set an exciting new standard for a modern city hostel. The former office building has been completely transformed and extended with a new annex facing out onto Mitchellsgade, with 433 rooms and a total of 1,650 beds. It has been our ambition to ensure that the structure of the new hotel complies with DGNB certification for sustainable and green building. Likewise, the project includes solar panels and a strong environmental element, with hanging gardens both inside and outside. Sustainability, both inside and out, will thus play asignificant part in the new hostel’s existence.

The brand new facade in beautiful brass, together with the green look of the house’s rooftops, will also be an important aspect of the interior design in Next House Copenhagen’s 3,600 m2 common areas, which together with the many shared facilities will lift the social dimension in the hostel to a whole new level.

We will be revealing more about the architecture, interior design and concept of the hostel closer to the opening, but can already tell you that Next House Copenhagen, with its exciting, cosy design and two unique rooftops, will give our guests plenty of opportunity to relax in all-embracing and bold surroundings. The urban aura and international atmosphere binds it all together in a home away from home that can be yours when you visit Copenhagen. Whether you are off travelling alone or here with friends or colleagues, Next House Copenhagen will have the facilities for you.

Next House Copenhagen will have capacity for a total of 1,650 guests across 433 rooms, of which around half will be 4-bed dorm rooms, one-quarter small, gorgeously-designed double rooms and the rest 6-bed dorm rooms. All of them, naturally, with private toilet and bathroom, air conditioning, super-efficient Wi-Fi and so on.
