Casper Puggaard to assume the role of Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Director on 1 November 2023

Casper Puggaard will take up the position of CCO, Chief Commercial Officer, with responsibility for the commercial area and the central commercial departments at Arp-Hansen Hotel Group as of 1 November 2023.

Casper, 50, joins from his position as Global Sales & Service Director at DFDS, where he has worked since January 2019. Prior to that, he has built a long career in various commercial leadership roles at, among others, SAS Group, Scandic Hotels in Denmark, and most recently at DFDS.

Casper holds an HD and an Executive MBA and lives with Anja and is the father of two—soon to be three.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Casper will become part of the company’s executive management and will have overall responsibility for sales, marketing, and distribution of the company’s hotels, hostels, restaurants, and conference services. In addition, an important task for Casper, on behalf of Arp-Hansen Hotel Group, will be to engage in and contribute to the development of Copenhagen and Aarhus as destinations.

The commercial departments under Casper’s responsibility consist of approximately 35 employees across sales, marketing (including digital disciplines such as web, online, and social media), distribution, and central reservations.

Casper will play a central role in the company’s executive management, and I look forward to continuing the close collaboration with the executive team, which today consists of COO Robert Thomsen and CFO Birgitte Krarup Sonne-Schmidt and, as of 1 November 2023, also CCO Casper Puggaard.

All three executive directors—COO, CFO, and CCO—will continue to report directly to me.

I would like to congratulate Casper on his appointment and look forward to working together to drive and lead Copenhagen’s largest hotel group, Arp-Hansen Hotel Group.
