The Copenhagen atmosphere

Like other capitals, Copenhagen has different neighborhoods each with a different feeling.

Nørrebro and Vesterbro were once working class neighborhoods, but today they are young, hip neighborhoods with lots of students and young bohemian artists. These neighborhoods are packed with trendy restaurants, cafés, galleries and design shops.

The neighborhoods Frederiksberg and Østerbro are upscale areas with parks and beautiful boulevards, while downtown Copenhagen is a mix of everything – hip shops, beautiful green parks, narrow cobbled streets and wide boulevards.

Copenhagen is a beautiful Scandinavian capital with plenty of exciting attractions, so take your time exploring the city!

Denmark has one of the world’s oldest monarchies and the royal family’s main residence in Copenhagen, Amalienborg, is a famous attraction. Amalienborg is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Copenhagen and the nearby Marble Church is also worth a visit.

Another classic attraction in Copenhagen is the Round Tower in the middle of the shopping street Strøget. Round Tower was originally an astronomy observatory built in 1642. Today the tower offers a great view of downtown Copenhagen.
